The Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange Authority (Pennie) is a state-affiliated entity established in 2019 by Act 42 to create a state-based insurance exchange, reduce costs and better support the needs of consumers purchasing health insurance in the individual market.

SPECIAL NOTIFICATION: This position is exempt from the provisions of Pennsylvania State Civil Service and its’ selection shall be made by and the incumbent shall serve at the pleasure of the Executive Director of the PA Health Insurance Exchange.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will establish and implement change control best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing and data integrity. This position will work with the Pennie IT Team to support provisioning, imaging and staging on Pennie’s technology and equipment. The IT Generalist will support the management of Pennie’s Salesforce environments including leading the development and monitoring of the Salesforce data extensions, analytics and serve as a system administrator. This individual will also support the development and monitoring of robotic process automations. The IT Generalist will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide operational support and enhancement of the existing Salesforce infrastructure.

• Ensure Pennie is capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the Salesforce system.

• Actively lead interactions with Salesforce user base to understand sales and business processes to pro-actively research and propose enabling solutions.

• Work closely with Marketing and Communications, Operations and IT teams to prioritize and implement salesforce.com roadmaps and database features.

• Assist Data Manager with functions, support data integrity and system performance.

• Create and administer training programs to support the organization’s understanding of Pennie’s technology environments, provide one-to-one training as needed.

• Administer new releases of Salesforce technology and efficiently roll out new features.

• Actively seek ways to increase adoption and satisfaction of saleforce.com with internal and external user groups.

• Monitor and support Jira issues.

• Manage and monitor the integration and native behaviors of collaboration and marketing platforms such as SharePoint and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Program and test robotic process automations.

• Ensure proper deployment, management, support and training of existing and new O365 service offerings.

• Serve as a knowledge expert on Microsoft O365 applications, advising on best practices of use and third-party integrations.

• Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into appropriate technical solutions.

• Administer the O365 Portal and monitor for alerts, status, etc. from Microsoft.

• Respond and resolve incidents and support requests involving the Microsoft O365 suite of products in a timely manner.

• Performs other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;

• 2+ years of experience with technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite products, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and others;

• Working knowledge of Jira and robotic process automation;

• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality;

• Strong data management abilities, problem solving skills and understanding of data analytics;

• A self-starter with the ability to think critically, multi-task, and keep up in a fast-paced environment;

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, successfully drive projects to completion;

• Ability to work with remote development teams;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years acting as a system administrator for a Salesforce CRM platform;

• Salesforce administrator certification;

• WordPress administration and maintenance experience.

LOCATION/ TRAVEL: This position is based in Pennsylvania. Periodic travel in-state and out-of-state may be required.
