JOB DESCRIPTION :
Position will support daily operations to provide a safe, clean, efficient, and comfortable environment. Requires organization and ability to follow a routine and provide regular inspection of assigned areas. A Cart Builder is responsible for efficiently building restock carts by separating cases of product from pallet onto designated carts as directed by a voice and/or radio frequency (RF) unit. Build/prepare pulling carts using voice and/or RF unit in accordance to ship times, size of orders and customer’s requests and Dynamics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel, to pull/push cart with product, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to SanMar’s safety regulations.
- May be required to operate powered lift equipment.
- Sort, compact, and bind cardboard for recycle; recycle plastic.
- Set up Order processing areas with supplies.
- Changing of batteries for lift equipment.
- Keep inventory records of boxes, tape and envelopes.
- Restock recycled boxes, new boxes, and envelopes.
- Make recommendations to improve any aspects of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers and keep a positive, supportive attitude towards the Company and job.
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
- Ability to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organization skills; demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities.
