New Job Data Collection Aide (Summer Seasonal) In South Dakota

Position Title: Data Collection Aide

The normal summer season is approximately May through September. Opportunities may exist to begin earlier and work later. Most positions involve outdoor work and strenuous physical labor. Seasonal employees are paid only for hours worked.

Duties:
Assist the DOT by driving various highways and interstates around the state in order to collect pavement distress survey for the pavement management system. Training will be provided on how to identify and quantify pavement distresses on various types of highway pavements.

Requirements:
Must be age 18 by the date of hire. Must have a valid driver’s license. Travel required throughout the state with overnight stays. Typically works four, 10-hour days per week.
