Job Summary


**MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

This is a Central Office position located in St. Paul, MN. This position will have the option to telework; the employee will be required to complete a telework agreement.

This position is responsible for the publication and dissemination of state and local transportation research, innovation, and technology transfer publications and products on behalf of the MnDOT Office of Research & Innovation and program partners. The position will also provide program administration, technology, and communications support to assist the research and innovation programs.

Occasional (10%) in state travel is required to attend meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of professional communications related work experience.

  • NOTE: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications or a closely related field substitutes for one year of professional experience.

Experience must also demonstrate the following:

  • Experience writing and editing publications in order to produce research materials including reports, guidebooks, and technical summaries.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and cloud-based collaboration and document management tools like SharePoint.
  • Experience applying accessibility guidelines, practices, and techniques for both print and electronic documents of various formats, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications or a closely related field.
