Full Description

Responsibilities of the Lead CQI Specialist are as follows:

  • Planning, coordinating, and facilitating state level child welfare CQI activities, provide support to CQI teams at county, region, and state levels, and ensure CQI activities are aligned with state priorities in outcomes and initiatives.
  • Working with both internal and external data and performance staff and contractors to provide metrics for decision-making on CQI activities at all levels.
  • Providing oversight and support of the state CQI process including the development, assessment, coordination, implementation, and process improvements for NC’s CQI model in child welfare, and overseeing program performance identified by program Section Chiefs, Unified Leadership, goals in the Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP), Annual Program and Services Review (APSR), Child and Family Services Review (CFSR), Program Improvement Plans (PIP), Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), and any additional NC or federally required child welfare goals.
  • Reports to the Section Chief for County Operations.

Salary Grade: GN12; Recruitment Range $46,203 - $63,961

  • Experience in Federal and North Carolina child welfare laws, rules, policies, and best practices to provide guidance, consultation, and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing continuous quality improvement strategies and plans.
  • Skills collecting and analyzing data regarding child welfare programs for statewide improvement.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience;
OR
Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of related experience;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
