Human Resources Assistant
INTRODUCTION
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) is seeking a full time Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Department. This position (PIN #04000045) in state government, is located in Oklahoma City, OK. The State of Oklahoma offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. The annual salary for this position is up to $37,157.00 based on education and experience.

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of Human Resources. Responsibilities will include working directly with new hires and supervisors to onboard new hires; creating offer letters, providing new hire packets and assisting with the completion of new hire packets; work directly with hiring managers to prepare job announcements, enter announcements in jobaps, request certification lists and make updates as needed in jobaps, including coding cert list; act as first point of contact for HR inquiries including monitoring the HR inbox, telephone along with greeting and assisting visitors to HR; assisting in other HR responsibilities and complete training as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is in a climate-controlled office setting; minimal travel required throughout the year. This position will spend most of the time working on the computer and using various office equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Selective Qualifications: Applicants must have previous Human Resources experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants that have experience onboarding new hires and/or experience using JobAps for the State of Oklahoma.
