JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources and Distribution team. They will work closely with the HR Manager. The HR Coordinator will perform duties at a professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, compliance and Payroll. They will consult with employees, supervisors and managers related to human resources issues. The position forms partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist and/or conduct employee development, training, and on-boarding.
  • Manage call outs and the distribution attendance calendar.
  • Assist with company-wide committee facilitation and employee advocacy and support.
  • Assist in implementation of human resource policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and reporting.
  • May support employee safety, wellness and health programs.
  • Responsible for managing of time and attendance
  • May participate in developing HR goals, objectives and processes
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Act as a back up to the Human Resources Leader as needed.

Requirements for Position:
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect and consideration of others.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.

  • Perform highly responsible and complex work independently and accomplish with minimal instruction or in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.
  • Specialized training in employment law, benefits, leaves administration, employee relations, training required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred or related work experience.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
