Eastern Plains Human Service Zone

Help create pathways so people can access right service at the right time for better well-being – economic, physical and behavioral - as the Eastern Plains Human Service Zone Director.

As the Human Service Zone (HSZ) Director, you will lead a high-performing team while managing the business operations and stakeholder relationships of a dynamic center. You will advocate for the HSZ at the state, county and community level, as well as build strong partnerships with providers and service agencies. You will ensure the HSZ is meeting its mission as the first contact for resources for those in need.

It is important that you have significant success as a community collaborator in the nonprofit, social or human services arenas. You must have experience navigating various stakeholder groups, including governing bodies, to build consensus among them. Finally, you must have demonstrated success leading a complex, matrixed team in a culture of accountability and teamwork.

To thrive as the HSZ director, you must be a relationship builder, citizen focused and someone who can engage the team in the vision. You must clearly demonstrate your key values are trust, respect, accountability, transparency, and teamwork. You lead with mindset that the wellbeing of employees is a prerequisite for being able to provide exceptional services to clients and families. You will need to be able to become intimately familiar with programs and partnerships quickly. And you must be able to translate relationships and ideas into measurable results.

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of professional work experience providing or administering human service programs that included leadership of a high-performing team.
