Location of position: ANDI Center Omaha State Office Building, 1313 Farnam

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Examples of Work

This is a supportive services assignment in the Access Nebraska Document Imaging Center. Duties include operate and perform basic maintenance of office equipment such as copier, fax machine, mail openers, mail sorters, computer, and scanning/imaging equipment. Prepare documents for imaging; open and sort mail, review documents for completeness, scan documents using imaging equipment, inspect/verify image quality and index documents using Win Client File Director, shared e-mail & e-fax accounts and NFOCUS. Process electronic and paper Medicaid applications received; complete computer systems inquiry using the NFOCUS computer system, identify and enter client information assisting in client records maintenance. Prepare and send correspondences to applicants, and contact clients during regular business hours as necessary to obtain information to process an application. Assist with document storage and destruction. Consult with supervisor to resolve complex issues that may arise.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and NFOCUS; Internal and external customer service experience.

OTHER: Ability to stand and sit for extended time periods. Ability to lift full boxes of documents. Reliable and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, office computer applications and programs.

Be highly organized, detail oriented, able to navigate computer programs to process work rapidly performing repetitive tasks in a fast paced environment while operating mail sorters, scanning/imaging equipment, computers and other office equipment.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing with clients/applicants; maintain records and files.
