Full Description

Work Period: Swing Shift - Hours are 12:00 am to 8:00 am Saturday – Wednesday. Must be able to work all shifts, as needed.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Any experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in water plant operations preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record. Applicant must have or acquire an Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality Water Operator’s Certification, Class D within 3 months of employment. Knowledge: Pumps, motors, and valves. Basic laboratory testing procedures. EPA and state regulations. Proper sampling techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities: Collects samples from various locations and performs required analysis. Monitor and record pressure and flow reading throughout the treatment and distribution system as required. Collect and analyze process samples for various chemical and physical properties to determine proper chemical feed rates in the treatment process. Check equipment for proper operation. Check process control parameters from the Plant, Well field, wholesale connection and water towers and make adjustments as necessary.
