The Montgomery County Community Engagement Cluster , Business Management Team is seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to fill a full-time Office Services Coordinator (OSC) position to provide administrative support to the Community Engagement Cluster’s programs.

The Community Engagement Cluster (CEC) includes five Regional Services Centers, the Commission for Women, and the Office of Community Partnerships, including the Gilchrist Center, Volunteer Center, Translations Unit, and Business Management Team.

What you will do :

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Provide administrative support for county boards, committees, commissions, task forces, and other groups as needed.

· Work with CEC team members to successfully provide technical assistance on all technology-related issues.

· Receive, sort, screen, and distribute mail.

· Assist with maintaining the CEC’s websites, updating graphics and media presentations

· Draft response to routine correspondence.

· Maintain complex data files and databases

· Coordinate office moves with interdepartmental contacts and staff

· Maintain inventory of all digital devices for the department

The ideal candidate is:

· Someone with considerable knowledge of office support rules, processes, and practices

· Detail-oriented, independent, and self-starting- yet knows when to seek guidance and instruction.

· Someone who can juggle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines

· Someone with a high level of computer proficiency – including Microsoft Office/Office 365 skills.

· Someone with excellent written and oral communication skills

This position requires the ability to attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office, and occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible office support experience.

Education: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted.

Preferred Criteria
