New Job Education Associate - 60024359 In South Carolina

The person in this position will attend state and local meetings for the purpose of the alignment of adult education and literacy activities with core programs and other one-stop partners, to implement the strategies identified in the State workforce plan through Memorandums of Understanding (MOU). This will include Sector Strategy and One Stop MOU meetings. Provide statewide leadership and local professional development as it relates to college and career ready standards and curriculum. Responsible for developing and conducting the grant competition for the Corrections Education grant. Provide technical support and monitoring to grant recipients of the Corrections Education grant. Provide oversight, technical assistance, monitoring, and assessment of adult education programs and literacy providers statewide. Assist adult education staff in planning, developing, and directing state level activities that will enhance adult education statewide. Provide leadership in the federally required formal assessment of adult education programs. Serves as the agency liaison with local school district personnel, agency staff, and representatives from the private section, and other community persons in establishing, expanding, and improving adult education programs.
This position is located in the Office of Adult Education.

A Bachelor's degree and experience in education, management or business.
