OVERVIEW: Bismarck State College is dedicated to student success. This on campus position is student-centered to provide high quality campus services and hands-on learning experiences.
Hourly Rate: $12.00
Hours Per Week: 6-12
Position Description & Details

SUMMARY OF POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for contributing to daily operations within the Mystic Advising and Counseling Center. Monday – Friday, part-time temporary, approximately 6 - 12 hours/week. Reports to the Director of Career, Advising, and Counseling Services.

DUTIES: Provides quality customer service relating to advising and counseling topics.
Maintains confidentiality of client records, schedules, and other private and identifying information.

Assists with receiving and responding to written, personal, and telephone inquiries.

Assists with administrating job networking software.

Assists with scheduling appointments for advising and counseling clients.

Assists with organizing career fairs and other similar events.

Provides relevant and accurate information to students, faculty and staff regarding Campus Connection processes.

Supports innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. within the department and for the college.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Required: Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Excellent computer software skills – Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel and Access), email and electronic calendar.
Excellent keyboarding skills.
Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
Proven interpersonal skills (ability to work well with a variety of people).
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail and demonstrate accuracy.
Ability to multi-task.
Able to work independently and with a team.
Preferred Qualifications

Office experience. Experience in and understanding of CampusConnection software.
