The Risk Placement Specialist is responsible for assisting our Sales Agent teams with the daily servicing of our clients while utilizing the top 6 National and top 3 Regional carriers; operating ethically, respectfully, with honesty, integrity, and to the best interest of the clients.

This role requires successfully executing communications and processes with our insurance company partners in support of meeting our client’s needs. This includes but is not limited to; evaluating the insurance company marketplace based on client need, account review data support, manual renewal processing, billing, loss run inquiry, experience modification request, audit support, etc. A successful Risk Placement Specialist will need strong communication and analytical skills to successfully assist in the management of our accounts. This includes building relationships with our internal teams as well as with key people within our insurance company partner organizations to ensure the needs of our clients are met. Confident ability to navigate internal and external technology is also key to the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Sales Agents and match the desired work
  • Build relationships with underwriters and keep current with insurance company risk guidelines
  • Primarily, this is a carrier facing role, but you will provide exemplary customer service when corresponding with clients when necessary
  • Follow the workflow for this role daily, using the Service Level Agreement (SLA) as a guide to ensure work is completed in a timely
  • Rate on carrier websites, using the marketing and new business guidelines
  • Provide coverage of other Marketing Specialists as needed
  • Communicate with Sales Agents regarding any challenges to ensure deadlines are met
  • Answer the phones promptly and respond to client e-mails within 24 hours
  • Respond to critical carrier e-mails within 24 hours, or respond to non-critical carrier e-mails within 48 hours
  • Direct any client coverage inquiry to Sales Team; Direct any Billing inquiry the Billing Team; Direct any Proofs requests to the Proofs Team
  • Obtain loss runs, supplemental(s), experience on modification worksheets
  • Using information provided by the Sales Agent on quote sheet and found in Epic (prior policy, prior apps, prior submissions, etc.), rate on various preferred carrier web portals or email submissions to underwriting for rating and prepare proposal/quote for Sales Agent to present to the client. (including subjective, payment options and anything further that is needed for binding, when sending to Sales Agent)
  • Update app to reflect quote chosen by Sales Agent and bind per Sales Agent
  • Underwriting Requests. Obtain updated information such as vehicle and driver lists at the request of underwriting. This may be done by preparing information to present to the client from generic Marketing Specialist email
  • Claim follow-up. Call carrier or check on carrier site 3 days after a claim is submitted and provide additional follow-ups to determine if the claim is going smoothly. Escalate issues to the Sales Agent
  • Create Loss Policy Release forms in Epic for the Sales Agent to present to the client. Send signed LPR to the carrier once received
  • Create Epic change requests for all direct bill/agency, bill admitted carrier policies and submit to underwriting – if available, process endorsements on carrier sites. Create and send activity with detailed
