We are recruiting for a recruiter! Seeking a creative individual to develop and implement effective recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract qualified applicants to our agency. We are a large, diverse organization and hire for customer service, healthcare, social services, IT and everything in between. The recruiter will be the agency’s liaison with colleges and universities, attend job fairs and create and manage job postings on a variety of platforms. This position will create recruitment materials and manage the agency’s career’s page. This position will also have the opportunity to work with community partners, students and external applicants and assist with HR projects as needed including conducting research, data pulling and processing.

This position does have some flexibility to telework, however some in-person and occasional travel may be needed.

Example of Duties

  • Create and implement recruitment strategies and manage their effectiveness for various roles, i.e. IT, social workers, healthcare positions etc.
  • Recruit on external sites (Jobssummary/LinkedIn/etc.)
  • Source potential candidates from various channels (i.e. professional platforms, social media etc.)
  • Counsel applicants and the public on career opportunities with our agency and explain application and hiring procedures
  • Maintain internal career’s webpage
  • Design and create recruiting materials such as ads, emails and flyers
  • Attend job fairs and present on state employment with potential applicants, students and other groups
  • Conduct college and University outreach with schools and students
  • Assists with applicant tracking system support as needed
  • May assist with creating job descriptions
  • Screens and interviews applicants as needed
  • Researches, compiles, and tracks data for various reports (licensee lists, market pay, salary survey data, exit interview & separation data)
  • Provides support to the Compensation and Classification Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Good knowledge of:
  • Human resource administration
  • Equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements
  • Employee recruitment methods
  • Administrative support functions including organization skills, composing business documents, compiling and summarizing data and customer service
Experience:
  • Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and policies
  • Counseling employees on human resource matters
  • Using computer applications

  • Some experience using Excel to manipulate data and generate reports.
    Gained by at least 1 year of work experience where this was required as part of routine work expectations.
  • Some experience working with an applicant tracking system. Gained by at least 1 year of work experience using and/or managing an applicant tracking system.
