INTRODUCTION

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) is seeking a full time Grants Administrator/Auditor in Consumer Protection Services (CPS) .This is a unclassified position (PIN #04000464) in state government, located in Oklahoma City, OK. The State of Oklahoma offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. The annual salary for this position is up to $47,787.00 based on education and experience.

Position Description:
This position will assist with the oversight of federal grants. This includes the financial oversight and auditing of collection and inspection fees to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, recommendations and laws, monitoring and maintaining grant compliance, assisting with grant budget planning, preparing and presenting reports and representing the agency in meetings and training.

Education and Experience:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration AND one year of qualifying experience in professional auditing or accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of paraprofessional auditing or accounting experience for each year of the required education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices; of auditing theories and techniques; of public and business administration; of financial statements, ledgers, journals and reports; of analytical principles; and of modern office methods and procedures, including computer technology related to accounting systems. Ability is required to review and analyze accounting records and business practices; to prepare audit reports and recommendations; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to communicate effectively; demonstrated ability to in completing or participating in various types of audits and completing required reports to carry out complex accounting, auditing and fiscal procedures.

Special Requirements:
This position requires a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is primarily located inside an office environment requiring the use of office equipment while in a stationary position most of the time. Some lifting, up to 50 lbs. may be required when setting up equipment and displays for agency required meetings and presentations.

Some travel both in state and out of state may be including some overnight and weekend travel necessary.
