New job Government Payer Analyst in Rhode Island

Job Summary: The government payer analyst will be responsible for keeping abreast of government payer contract rules & regulations to ensure accurate billing, coding and operational mandates. The senior analyst will be responsible for maintaining education and dissemination of information to all appropriate organization-wide departments. The senior government payer analyst will conduct various audits of medical records, coding and billing with reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of accuracy and efficiency and must be proficient in their knowledge of billing regulations, claim form requirements and appeal processes for government or non-government payer sources.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Finance; Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Finance
Certified Coding Specialist
Five years-experience in the hospital environment
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, or decision support/database management is required. Familiarity with analyzing Medicare fiscal intermediary bulletins, CMS memorandums and have the ability to understand payer reimbursement methodologies (Commercial and Government).
