OMES is seeking a full time Event Coordinator for our Capitol Asset Management Division. This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City. OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. For more information about the benefit allowance [click here]. The annual salary for this position is based on education and experience up to $50,000.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage events at the State Capitol.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provides front end customer service
  • Schedules events using an online reservation tool
  • Organizes audio/visual equipment in advance
  • Manages events and addresses issues that may arise
  • Prepares event space including setting up tables, chairs, and any other equipment
  • Cleans event space and returns area back to pre-event status

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Extended hours including evenings and weekends maybe required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, marketing, or related field
  • Two years of related experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
