OMES is seeking a full time Event Coordinator for our Capitol Asset Management Division. This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City. OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage events at the State Capitol.

Position Responsibilities
- Provides front end customer service
- Schedules events using an online reservation tool
- Organizes audio/visual equipment in advance
- Manages events and addresses issues that may arise
- Prepares event space including setting up tables, chairs, and any other equipment
- Cleans event space and returns area back to pre-event status
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Extended hours including evenings and weekends maybe required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in event planning, marketing, or related field
- Two years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
