New Job Correctional Unit Manager In New Mexico

Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.

The purpose of this position is to act as an administrator for a multidisciplinary team assigned to work in a housing unit.

• Provide for the delivery of quality programs and services
• Perform additional administrative functions

Twelve (12) years of experience in corrections; three (3) years of which must be in supervisory or management. Three (3) years of experience in correctional case management and/or coordination of individual prisoner programs in a correctional facility will substitute for required supervisory/management experience. Experience in the areas of social work, guidance and counseling and/or law enforcement may substitute for up to four (4) years of required experience in corrections. A degree in any field from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.

This position is designed safety sensitive. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Pre-employment background check is required and conditional pending results.

Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which may include daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.

This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
