Bachelor of Science degree.
Minimum three to five years billing supervisory experience, preferably in a medical office.
Minimum five to ten years minimum experience in medical office; billing and collections experience required.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Ability to handle patient, insurance and practice communications compassionately and efficiently.
Capacity to demonstrate loyalty to the company.
Initiative to complete projects.
Management of multiple projects simultaneously.
Competency in problem solving and decision-making.
Ability to delegate and supervise successfully.
Excellent communication skills; written and oral.
Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
Excellent follow up skills.
Ability to work as a team player.
Ability to motivate staff.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance rules and regulations.
Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Ability to follow all PHI, HIPAA and all other governmental regulations.
