Summary of Work
The duties assigned to this position will include registration of new clients, transferring clients, , assigning client to team and discharging clients. Contacting insurance companies for coverage and benefits. Assisting with BLHSC open access Monday-Friday. The candidate will be responsible for contacting insurance companies for coverage and benefits especially pertaining to telehealth benefits, assist uninsured clients with applying for insurance if qualifications are met. This position will assist client with financial eligibility and complete necessary paperwork to qualify for discounts. The position is also responsible for updating client demographics, assisting with billing questions and helping the client be aware of the cost for services and what services are not covered by their insurance. This position will also provide backup for Reception and Fingerprinting.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of work experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical or secretarial work. Additional education in office support, business, or office education may substitute for the experience requirements on a year-for-year basis for up to two years. This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate must demonstrate organizational skills, multitasking ability, be self-motivated, and have strong interpersonal, customer service and communications skills. This position requires an applicant who can work independently. Accuracy is critical in performing the duties of this position.
Preference will be given to those with reception experience.
