The Americas Investment Banking Division (IBD) provides a vast array of capabilities to our clients including corporations, institutions, and governments around the world. M&A: Advisory services related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic assignments

Program Overview

Nomura is growing its Investment Banking business in the Americas rapidly and is launching a new Expansion Class for Associates and Analysts. The new Expansion Class offers an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to join a dynamic global business during a key period of growth. The program will provide you with all the tools to build a successful career in Investment Banking.

If selected, you will join a Class starting in January 2022. You will participate in a 6-week training program in New York before joining an industry or product group in either New York or San Francisco. We are expanding across all areas of Investment Banking with a focus on ESG / Sustainability and Fintech / Digital. What Role Will You Play?

Deal Execution: Work closely with clients and current Officers on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, strategic advisory, capital raisings and financings

Client Relationship Management: Generate and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers

Strategic Analysis: Support transactions and clients with financial, structural, and business risk analysis

New Business Development: Actively participate in the effort to pitch and win new mandates from clients, leveraging proprietary content and ideas
