Position Description:


DCA is seeking a Region 3 Rep (Program Consultant 3). This position is responsible for collaboration, information sharing, strategic discussions and regular meetings to ensure consistent communication between DCA and our customers. The regional representative will share information on DCA’s programs and services and connect customers to the appropriate resources.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:


  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability provide direction and technical assistance to local communities on DCA's programs, services and activities
  • Knowledge of community and economic development rules, financing and processes
  • Knowledge of the unique economic and housing issues impacting the local communities
  • Ability identify local opportunities, resources and needs that can be met by the programs and services available at DCA
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently while being good stewards of the state's resources

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a business curriculum or related field from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in a business curriculum or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing accounting and/or fiscal control functions OR High School diploma or GED AND Four years of experience OR One year of experience required at the lower level Program Specialist 2 (GSP091) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.


Preferred Qualifications:


Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the agency specific minimum qualifications possess at least one of the following:


  • Knowledge of local government operations
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Office software products

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
