Full Description

THE POSITION

This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting program data generated by the Department’s data systems to support budget-forecasting activities across the Department.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Analysis is based on actual expenditure data summarized by provider type, type of service, and category of assistance for several geographical zones within the Commonwealth.

This position is also responsible for several special projects as assigned by the Bureau and/or Office director to assist in the fiscal analysis of budget initiatives and revenue maximization plans including the preparation of charts, graphs, and other written materials supports projects.

This position assists and in certain cases takes a lead role in the development of financial analysis related to state and federal legislation.

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with 1 hour lunch period.
  • You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - One year as a Program Analyst 2; OR three years of analytical experience, two of which include professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
