Job Description

Shearman & Sterling is seeking a mid-level Associate (Class Years 2017 – 2018) with M&A and Private Equity experience to join the Firm’s US Private Equity Growth practice group in the Austin, Dallas, DC, Houston or New York offices. The US Private Equity Growth practice focuses on private equity transactions and funding arrangements, strategic M&A, acquisitions and divestitures of assets and companies, and joint ventures.

The ideal candidate has 2 – 3 years of M&A experience and strong academic credentials. Experience with private equity-backed companies is strongly preferred. Additionally, strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate will have an almost immediate opportunity to take on a significant role in transactions. A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
