The Nebraska Supreme Court Information Technology Division is taking applications for a full time Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for administrative support work for upper-level management staff, and team support, within the IT Division.

Location: State Capitol Lincoln NE

Work schedule: 8-5 M-F

Examples of Work

Providing support as needed for the various teams within the Information Technology Division, which include application development and help desk, business systems management and security, website development and data analysis; responding to questions from statewide judicial branch staff and external persons on matters pertaining to information technology services or administrative functions; assisting with maintaining inventory records and performing related duties for ordering computer supplies, parts, accessories, hardware and software, including fixed asset tracking; assisting with user management for various Supreme Court technology systems; arranging schedules and agendas, creating reports or assembling documentation, recording minutes, and preparing a written record of proceedings for various meetings

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school with at least four years of administrative secretarial or general secretarial experience in a law or business office.

PREFERRED: College degree preferred. Experience with information technology systems, case management systems, or web applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the judicial branch of government, the organizational structure of the Nebraska Probation/Court System, as well as working knowledge of Nebraska Supreme Court case management systems and online services including eFiling and ePayment and modern office equipment, including computer hardware and software. Abilities to establish and cultivate good working relationships with coworkers, court personnel, individuals in positions of authority, criminal justice agencies, court staff and the general public; to organize and manage time and work space, to grasp and adhere to principles of confidentiality. Good written and oral communication skills.
