Institutionalizing Digital Equity in Cambridge, MA will be a collaboration with the Chief Information Officer in Cambridge and partners within city government and non-profit and private sectors. Specifically, the City of Cambridge recently released a comprehensive Digital Equity Study and is seeking to formulate an action plan and working coalition based on the report. This initial stage of research aims to kickstart this process with a research assistant who would support the effort by:

- Refining list of current and proposed initiatives to identify the elements of a comprehensive digital equity program
- Conducting case study analysis of digital equity initiatives in other cities and organizations
- Conducting desktop research to determine funding and collaboration opportunities
- Developing a project charter
- Conducting a gap analysis of the digital equity report
- Identifying baseline metrics for evaluating digital equity based on the digital equity report
- Defining individual projects by entity
- Identifying coalition members and potential roles within initiatives
- Drafting working group model and governance
- Drafting a digital equity action plan
- Conducting meetings and workshops to engage stakeholders, determine interest, and refine draft artifacts
- Transcribing meeting outputs and actions
