Overview
We are looking for a candidate to help manage the Reach Up program, Vermont's TANF program. The successful candidate will have a passion for innovative change, a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, knowledge of best practices in the fields of trauma and resilience, mental health and substance use disorder, employment, training, and education, and the 2-Generation approach. This position requires independent and team work, and the confidence to initiate and implement new programs and build new partnerships. We are looking for someone to share the passion we have for seeing the potential in all Vermont families. The Program Manager should embrace the mission of the Reach Up program, which is to "join families on their journey to overcome obstacles, explore opportunities, improve their finances and reach their goals."

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in a variety of office and field settings. Private means of transportation must be available for necessary travel. Attendance at a variety of meetings is required, involving state, federal, private agencies or interest and advocacy groups, sometimes during weekends and evening hours. Tact and perseverance are necessary incumbent skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more at a professional level in human services, education, employment and training programs, policy development, data processing, or program management INCLUDING two (2) years or more of managerial or supervisory duties.

OR

Master's degree AND two (2) years or more of managerial or supervisory duties in human services, education, employment and training programs, policy development, data processing, or program management.

OR

Two years of full-time college coursework OR associate's degree AND six (6) years or more at a professional level in human services, education, employment and training programs, policy development, data processing, or program management INCLUDING two (2) years or more of managerial or supervisory duties.

OR

Eight (8) years of more at a professional level in human services, education, employment and training programs, policy development, data processing, or program management INCLUDING two (2) years or more of managerial or supervisory duties.
