Job Title: Live-out Housekeeper

Location: New York, NY (Upper East Side)

Days: Generally, Monday – Friday with flexibility on weekends and holidays

Hours: Flexible, generally fall within 9-5/11:30-7:30 range

Hourly: DOE $25 - $30/hr. +

Vacation: Two weeks paid vacation

Staff: Full time Nanny and Part-time Housekeeper

Job Description:

An active private family (2) children: 2yrs and infant are looking for a full-time, live-out Housekeeper to help maintain their townhouse residence in New York City. Candidates must be experienced working in fine home and demonstrate skills in all aspects of household cleaning. The client seeks an organized candidate with a desire to provide first-class service.

• Responsible for the housekeeping of a 5-story townhouse
• The role is live-out, 5 days per week, with overriding flexibility.
• High standards of service within semi-formal environment, more professional/traditional)
• Understands the processes involved with working with fine finishes and fabrics.
• Liaising with the other household staff.
• Consistently maintaining the home to the principal’s standards and preferences.

Housekeeping:

• Experience caring for high-end furnishings, fixtures, and finishes.
• Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing. Using green cleaner where requested.
• Laundry services, including some ironing and changing bed linens and towels as needed.
• Keeping closets highly organized, clean and tidy

• Checking plants and watering when necessary.
• Inventory and purchasing of cleaning supplies, paper goods.

• Greeting guests at the door.
• Setting the table and cleaning dinner dishes.

• Keep the perimeter area clean and tidy.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years related experience working for a private home or family.
• Professional, capable, self-confident, self-starting, and energetic.
