We’re looking for someone who can:

- working with credit professionals and banking partners to approve transactions and assign credit limits within the risk appetite of WM USA
- conducting in depth analysis on the borrowers and the collateral supporting transactions. The focus of the position is to oversee and manage WM USA lending against private equity shares to partners of the PE firms and passive investors
- approving and writing detailed credit assessments in addition to providing recommendations to credit officers
- monitoring the performance of risk exposures in the portfolio and helping formulate risk-mitigating strategies as necessary
- developing and managing relationships with other areas of the firm, including WM USA Banking, Operations, Collateral Management, Legal, Compliance, IT
- participating in ad-hoc credit risk control projects
Your team
You’ll be working in the Credit Risk Control team and play a vital role in independently reviewing and monitoring transaction risks primarily focusing on lending against private equity shares to partners of the PE firms and passive investors within Wealth Management USA. As a credit risk officer, you’ll serve as second line of defense and challenge all credit risks associated with your covered portfolio of transactions.
Your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Liberal Arts or related areas
- ideally 3 years of experience in a similar or related field
- strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to identify key risk issues in complex situations and to formulate precise credit assessments and credit recommendations, both in writing and verbally
- ability to focus and prioritize and perform effectively in a fast paced environment
