The Chief of Staff will partner with the Head of Enterprise Process Management and the leaders in EPM to plan, implement, communicate, and develop material that will ensure the successful rollout of changes made in EPM. This is both a strategic and hands-on role that is critical in executing our project initiatives and driving the employee experience. - Develop and/or assist with developing plans for delivery of initiatives - Plan activities, tasks and resources required to deliver outcomes - Engage cross-functional stakeholders and resources to deliver outcomes; drive execution of plans and negotiate timing and resources, as needed - Report progress against plans - Consider and develop change management plans for affected stakeholders - Proactively escalate and resolve potential issues by calling them to the attention of the department head and identifying potential solutions - Digest, analyze and summarize information gathered on processes, employees, and external sources to identify themes for employee needs, regulatory considerations and ideas for action. - Collect and package information for analysis and presentation, including assessment of input from individuals, focus groups and other internal and external sources. - Manage program achievement through tracking of accomplishments, open issues and progress. - Evaluate effectiveness of ongoing efforts for tracking achievements, measuring success, and reporting progress. - Support Department head in preparation of executive committee, senior leader and all-employee presentations. - Plan, manage and facilitate meetings for groups and individuals, including objectives, agenda and scheduling, in order to gather information and/or develop solutions. - Develop regular and as-needed communications for our global executives, senior leaders, managers and employees, including creative development of new communication channels and content. - Monitor release dates of projects to stay ahead of the curve with upcoming changes. - Experience in PowerPoint, Excel and Word - Talent for influencing without authority to drive stakeholders, teams and resources toward delivering project goals and impactful results. Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through - Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results, prioritizing effectively and facilitating action across remote groups - Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications - Ability to think critically and quickly identify underlying problems needing to be solved, or recognize when and where additional data or context is required to reach a solution - 5 or more years of experience organizing and delivering projects - Experience driving results in cross functional teams - Broad knowledge of process improvement methodology - Understanding of SVB’s culture and structure - Project management experience - Change Management or other functional financial experience
