Position Summary:
Our client supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) that defends the United States, deployed forces, and allies from ballistic missile attacks. We continuously work to develop and enhance the BMDS elements to enable them to keep up with rapidly evolving threats. Our staff are involved in the development and integration of these elements from the analysis and characterization of the worldwide ballistic missile threat to fielding of new BMDS capabilities. To achieve this, we perform system and component engineering, algorithm development, advanced technology prototyping, and validation of performance by means of testing and analysis.

Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Authenticates and appraises historical documents and archival materials. Creates and maintain accessible, retrievable computer archives and databases, incorporating current advances in electric information storage technology. Directs activities of workers who assist in arranging, cataloguing, exhibiting, and maintaining collections of valuable materials. Locates new materials and direct their acquisition and display. Organizes archival records and develops classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials. Prepares archival records, such as document descriptions, to allow easy access to information. Preserves records, documents, and objects, copying records to film, videotape, audiotape, disk, or computer formats, as necessary. Researches and records the origins and historical significance of archival materials. Selects and edits documents for publication and display, applying knowledge of subject, literary expression, and presentation techniques. Coordinates educational and public outreach programs, such as tours, workshops, lectures, and classes. Establishes and administers policy guidelines concerning public access and use of materials. Provides reference services and assistance for users needing archival materials. Specializes in an area of history or technology, researching topics or items relevant to collections to determine what should be retained or acquired.
Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Data processing of sensor data from a wide variety of sensors, using custom developed tools, in preparation for staff data evaluation. Training in these tools will be required.
  • Data retrieval from classified links and data archives.
  • Occasional courier tasks, traveling to local industry affiliates or to the Wood Street facility to retrieve data for processing and analysis.
  • Data storage on media for archive purposes.
  • Conducting unclassified internet searches.
  • Conducting software testing for analysts.
  • Database maintenance and report generation.
  • Managing the destruction of classified media.
  • Assisting with closed area custodial duties such as maintaining the daily checklists, monitoring the open & close assignments, and escorting uncleared visitors to the area.
  • Assisting with classified teleconference scheduling and set up.
  • All work will be conducted in a secure, closed area.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with active secret clearance.
  • Highschool Diploma plus 1-year minimum experience
  • The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and a willingness to learn new skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree desired
  • Experience with FTP clients (e.g., Aspera) and Microsoft Excel or similar product.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux (UNIX experience).
  • Good organizational skills to manage the support needs of multiple staff members simultaneously.
