Full Description
A full-time account representative position for the university’s student billing department. Working in a team environment, process financial transactions, provide customer service and explanation of financial policies to students and families. In addition to general customer service and account duties, this position will handle specialized duties including receipt and refunding of private student loans and federal parent PLUS loans, student withdrawal review, verifying eligibility for online refund requests. This position will also be responsible for oversight of student monthly payment plan – this option is used by approximately 2,000 families each semester.
High school graduation and 2 years of related experience involving progressively responsible customer service and financial duties, or Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or combination of higher education and related experience equal to 2 years. Comprehensive computer skills, such as spreadsheets, word processing e-mail, data entry/ retrieval. Effective written and oral communication skills. Organizational and analytical skills. Customer service skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public.
Strong customer services skills; excellent communication ability, both verbal and written; experience in college business office.
