This Solutions Consultant - Government (SCG) role is responsible for profitable growth of the RxSS Services portfolio. Scope of work includes serving as the subject matter expert for the core solution use in the Government sector. Primary targets include Federal, State and Local entities that can use the RxSS benefits solution.

This SCG will interface with prospects, clients, and the RxSS Sales and Marketing teams to assist in the design, development and commercial launch readiness of the RxSS solution for new and existing customers. Skills the role must leverage are strategic thinking, knowledge of market segments, competitive landscape, and a clear understanding of key benefit and business objectives. This role is expected to partner effectively with sales, marketing, operations, IT, channel partners and other functional areas to drive pipeline and close opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible in part for ensuring that the Government solution sales meets or exceeds revenue and market share goals
  • Understands competitive pressures and can assess market needs to inform and influence product strategy, marketing content development, and sales positioning
  • Clearly understands the competitive landscape – competitor strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses
  • Can identify and assist in directing internal teams on new product concepts and extensions of existing solutions
  • Engages key clients and partners for strategic discussions on market trend impact, current issues, and new product concepts
  • Support sales for key activities including prospecting calls, advising and contributing to marketing and sales content
  • Assisting at conferences and serving as the subject matter expert on benefits for the government market
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience managing benefits administration for a government entity
  • Desire to assist in sales prospecting activities, including cold calls, webinars, conference attendance, etc
  • PBM and pharmacy benefit knowledge
  • Solid understanding of benefits management and offerings across the full spectrum of offerings for a government entity
  • Understanding of the formal RFP process to procure benefits solutions within the government space
  • Experience in health care network management (such as contracting, development, provider relations, etc.)
  • Ability to lead business initiatives to a successful result
