Job Description

Manage the operations of the facility Record Office. Train employees in all areas of the Record Office functions. Serve as the facility time computation manner ensuring all segments of time computation, sentence entry and verification, and lawful and appropriate prisoner release on parole, discharge or transfer to a Community Residential Program. Interpret and explain policy and procedure, statutes, court rules and legal decisions. Facility liaison with courts and law enforcement community, testify at court proceedings. File maintenance manager, assuring prisoner files and computer data records are maintained and updated by statue, policy and procedure. Facility LEIN Coordinator

Position Description

Required Education and Experience

Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience
One year of experience equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 11 or experienced-level professional; or two years equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 10, Office Supervisor 11 and 12, Secretary Supervisor 11, experienced-level technician or paraprofessional; or three years equivalent to an Office Supervisor 10, Secretary Supervisor 10, Emergency Dispatch Supervisor 10, or Human Resources Customer Service Supervisor 10.

Additional Requirements and Information

The Department of Corrections may screen out job applicants who have been convicted of a felony in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017. Applicants who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony are ineligible for employment with the Department of Corrections until satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation.
