Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Develop market strategy in collaboration with Regional President.
Develop and execute long-term and short-term goals, plans, programs or large-scale projects for the market and allocates budget.
Act as single point of ownership and has authority over local Market Sales and Network decisions.
Own relationships with central functions such as Actuary, Underwriting, Clinical, Pharmacy, Service, Implementation, Marketing and Finance to ensure market KPIs are met.
Monitor financial and operational performance to influence improvement and positive results in the market.
Identify and communicate the need for improvements in Humana’s products and services.
Face of Humana Employer Group in the market to clients, providers, government and the broader community.
Build relationship with key decision makers at integrated delivery systems and provider practices.
Partner closely with local Retail Regional President to drive tighter partnership and accountability for shared resources and strengthen Humana’s position in the community.
Identify strategic relationships in the market and develop those circles of influence to drive business to Humana, Inc.
Build Brand across the market in conjunction with outside organizations and key constituents.
Develop, strengthen and maintain relationships with national, regional and local distribution firms.
Cascade and communicate national and local strategies, goals, initiatives, process updates and operating principles to associates.
Hire A-players and develop team to meet and exceed results.
Collaborate with EG and enterprise partners to continuously refine focus on prioritized opportunities to execute critical business initiatives that drive profitable growth.
Requirements:
Track-record of success in local market leadership including sales leadership and influencing key partners.
In-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and enterprise-wide.
Demonstrated ability in building relationships with brokers, consultants, and employer groups.
Deep knowledge of the health insurance industry.
Deep understanding of market dynamics: competition, influencers, trends, history.
Knowledge of history within the national and local provider community and understanding of integrated care models, risk sharing and trends impacting the provider community.
Relationships with leaders within integrated delivery systems and key provider practices.
Understanding of trends in consumer needs and patterns of care.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate in a positive manner.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is highly desired.
