SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director – North American Food Service Appetizers, the individual will manage and support the Foodservice appetizer portfolio. The Brand Manager will act as a strategic partner with sales, innovation, customer marketing and other cross functional groups with the goal of growing our North American food service appetizer business. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an ability to create inspiring brand, product and go-to-market propositions. Responsibilities include P&L management, performance monitoring and reporting, demand forecasting, new product development and launch planning and budget ownership and management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Category expert with deep understanding of the industry, market, consumer, restaurant operator and competition
  • Manage portfolio activities for US McCain branded and private label portfolio in partnership with the Senior Brand Manager and other cross functional team members
  • Prepare business analysis and reporting utilizing internal and external data (e.g. NPD CREST & SupplyTrack, Datassential, Technomic, etc.)
  • Identify/assess portfolio risks and opportunities as part of the annual and long-term planning process
  • Commercialize new innovation and brand propositions (pricing, targets, branding, volume commitments, etc.)
  • Forge relationships with sales, customer and integrated marketing to drive go-to-market plans and execution
  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams and deliverable timelines
  • Partner with Integrated and customer marketing and external agencies to align our media/communications and promotions in support of the brands and go-to-market strategies
  • Manage the budget/marketing spending

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA strongly preferred)
  • Intrinsically motivated. A self-starter that can find an opportunity and explore it on his or her own.
  • Understanding of key business fundamentals and P&L management
  • Ability to influence the organization with fact-based evidence– insights to action
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen, analytical abilities, communication skills, and decisiveness
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask against several complex projects at a time
  • Ability to integrate consumer/customer/category and industry trends to generate business insights and develop compelling strategic stories
  • Computer proficiency in MS suite of products including Excel (e.g. pivot tables), PowerPoint and Word
Required Length & Type of Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Marketing, Brand or Category Management experience, preferably experience either with a leading Consumer Packaged Food company or in a B2B industry.
  • Food or Foodservice Marketing experience a plus
