Summary
About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Wateree Recreation in Camden, SC.
Shaw Air Force Base ranks as one of the oldest installations in the Air Force and is the home of the 9th Air Force Headquarters and the 20th Fighter Wing and is the largest combat F-16 fighting wing
Responsibilities
Manages and responsible for the daily overall operations of the recreation area. Plans, develops and organizes the recreation program to include fishing tournaments, live entertainment, theme weekends, dinners and children's activities. Must be qualified to preform all aspects of lodging, FamCamp RV and tent recreation areas, resale and rental operations at a off-site location. Responsible for the maintenance, accountability and proper utilization of recreational equipment, watercraft, marina, beach and cabins at the location. Directly supervises the Assistant Manager who assigns a variety of duties for all NAF employees. Develops policies, plans and procedures, budgets, quality assurance guidelines, and marketing plans associated with recreational programming. Coordinates with Civil Engineering in planning short and long term projects to maintain and enhance the facility. Performs a variety of accounting duties to include reviewing, computing, verifying and submitting cashier reports and deposits, posting daily transactions and monthly inventories into Services Agency Information Services system (SAIS). Responsible for properly utilizing a Government Purchase Card (GPC) to buy supplies, equipment repair items and pay invoices. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports, NAF and APF operating budgets, capital requirements, and budget. Develops Job Safety Training Outline (JSTO) for employees. Supervises work assignments and provides work-related guidance. Ensures that worksite materials and tools are available, serviceable and verifies that employees follow security and safety rules. Reports all safety violations immediately to the Outdoor Recreation Director. Ensures only authorized patrons with proper identification utilize the recreation area. Conducts daily spot check inspections throughout the recreation area and submits work orders using Trigriga to track the repairs. Checks safety and cleanliness of equipment and instructs patrons on the proper use of the equipment.

Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a specific knowledge of management principles or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the activities managed by the Recreation Area Manager. Proficient in Rectrac 10.3 or 3.1 operations. Specialized Experience: Experience in the operation and management of an Outdoor Recreation program at a recreation area. Experience must have included responsibility or supervision over various phases of operations such as supply procedures, planning and programming of activities, sanitation and safety procedures, and establishing training for rental equipment. In addition, the experience demonstrated the ability to supervise.

Education
