Position Summary

Job Description

This highly collaborative position is responsible for the creation, reporting and execution of our Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. This position is critical for the company to better engage with its customers, employees, regulators, potential hires, board of directors and shareholders. When CSR is done right it can solidify employee pride and engagement, drive increased revenues through improved sales and customer loyalty, enhance brand recognition, create positive business reputation in a highly regulated industry, and play a major role in becoming the diverse employer of choice for all talent.

Key contributions of this role to Scientific Games will be to:

Continue to increase overall diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts in alignment with our Mision, Vision and Values

Ensure meaningful long-term goals are set and met to positively impact our environment and support our communities

Drive more meaningful impact from our philanthropic efforts, and establish a global strategy for giving and volunteering

Centralize our ability to track and optimize all CSR efforts and create inspiring branded marketing pieces for all internal and external stakeholders

Essential Job Functions

Devise and implement strategies to ensure SG’s globally dispersed workforce feels connected and integrated as one company guided by our mission, vision and values

Work with the DEI Task Force and DEI Council to foster an organizational environment and ethos that is diverse and inclusive where every employee truly belongs

Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership in the establishment of organizational diversity goals, objectives and reporting

Develop and execute a sophisticated benchmarking and continuous improvement strategy and analysis across all social responsibility activities including: philanthropy, employee giving, sponsorships, employee volunteerism and employee assistance fund

Partner with executives and experts across the business to improve SG’s sustainability and ethical sourcing strategy and reporting

Coordinate and communicate about the company’s Responsible Gaming program

Maintain essential company metrics and public disclosures driven by Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) criteria prescribed by investor surveys and indices

Provide regular reports and analysis in accordance with key performance indicators to senior leadership, the company’s board and other company stakeholders as necessary regarding the company’s annual CSR strategic plan

Positions the business to capitalize on emerging opportunities, addresses relevant issues, identifies, and asseses markets and opportunities relating to social and environmental issues and their potential importance to the company

Collaborate with leaders across SG to gather insights and ideas on how to make CSR initiatives more impactful

Leverage insights and relationships to identify and operationalize enhancements that optimize company investments and advance the company’s mission

Lead the company’s approach to managing large-scale charitable giving by working with business leaders across the company to ensure significant charitable contributions are in alignment with our mission, vision and values

Research the opportunity to establish a foundation to enact a longer term philanthropic strategy

Collaborate with Government Relations to develop and execute targted relationship development, thought leadership and materials development for use at the local, state, and country levels around the world

Champion the successful launch of SG employee resource groups to ensure they are effective and meaningful channels for professional development while driving business value

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred.

Years of Related Experience

At least 10 years of experience in executive leadership in marketing, CSR or operations.

A minimum of 5 years experience with full P&L authority; departmental budgeting, and managing cross-functional teams and setting business strategy

Prefered Experience:
Previous experience in gaming and CSR strategy

Marketing and branding experience

Demonstrated community outreach experience

Leadership of employee resource groups

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to build strong networks, manage projects and influence and educate people across a complex, large, global matrixed organization

Must be an action-oriented doer who can enact positive and impactful change quickly

Ability to achieve solutions to meet company’s CSR objectives; proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to achieve results

Ability to demonstrate a passion and sense of purpose to make strides in DEI, Sustainability, Charitable Giving, Community Relations, Employee Engagement, Responsible Gaming and Internal Branding

Strong business acumen including knowledge of Management, CSR, Financial Reporting, Corporate Communications, Brand Marketing, Public Relations and Human Resources

Authentic leader with impeccable integrity whose personal and professional values are consistent with SG’s core values, especially diversity and inclusion

Able to develop trust and respect from all levels quickly, with an ability to use this skill to inspire and influence change

An adaptable, confident and well researched and prepared leader with a strong work ethic who can manage a changing global environment and team seamlessly with peers and senior leaders

Knowledge of external factors influencing a companies reputation
