Reporting to the Senior Vice President Treasury/Chief Investment Officer with a dotted line reporting relationship to the ACIO, the Vice President, Investments - Private Markets will provide resources to support management of THR’s expansive investment assets focused on private market strategies. To conduct financial research, modeling and analysis as related to these assets.

The VP Investments - Private Markets has the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CIO and ACIO to conduct sophisticated research and financial analysis to assist in the management of THR’s investment assets as related to private market strategies, including but not limited to analysis and tracking of commitment levels, capital calls, IRR, multiple on invested capital, investment period, exits, realizations and time weighted return, etc.
  • Monitor and analyze investment management firms to gain insight on organizational structure, compensation models, philosophy, succession planning, and any changes at firm level on existing firms and other organizations of interest.
  • Develop and maintain workflows and reporting to track capital commitments and current funding levels, process capital calls, track co-investments, realizations, side letter agreements and other relevant elements of private market investments.
  • Generate performance reporting and other analytics for related assets as required by CIO/ACIO for long term investments and operational investments totaling over $6B in assets.
  • Active in the sourcing of potential investments in private market strategies and in the due diligence review process. Requires negotiation and coordination with General Partners, THR external counsel, and management to achieve favorable market terms for the limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, side letters, co-investment agreements and all applicable documents.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college required.
  • 10 years’ minimum experience in investment and financial analysis related positions.
  • CFA or CPA may compensate for <10 years’ experience.
  • Direct experience with private market investments and experience with a large multi-billion investment program preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in the area of private market investments, analysis and performance monitoring. Micro-Soft office products, Bloomberg, eVestment preferred.
