A Signature Flair Events Coordinator Intern will gain a world-class, hands-on experience in managing & coordinating events for our business clients. We look for reliable, mature individuals that are driven to succeed and to provide excellent customer service at all times.
The Job: The intern will work directly on ASF’s client sites to help create, manage, and implement events successfully. Clients include (but not limited to) working with Blockchain technology, Government contracting, Women focused initiatives, Small Business events, and more. Our projects are with exciting, family-oriented businesses that have business plans to expand with massive growth (which equates to long term opportunities for an intern). The intern will help to create master event plans that leave the client stress-free. Duties may include site setup, admin duties such as cold calls, advertising via social media sites & websites, logistics coordination, and much more. Must have strong written & verbal communication skills, be professional, courteous, and accommodating.
Tasks include (but not limited to):
  • Assisting client with event concepts & marketing of their event on social media platforms
  • Schedule featured guests to speak at events
  • Managing events from conception to implementation
  • Manage & coordinate vendors’ contracts to include time of arrival, setup, & breakdown
  • Develop detailed “run of show” schedules for major events
  • Assist with registration of attendees (including creating name badges, names on tent cards, seating assignments, etc)
  • Provide innovative solutions to help solve issues as they arise
  • Perform all related duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in an Event Management or Hospitality Program at the Sophomore to Senior level (or enroll in the A Signature Flair Event Coordinating Program)
  • Must be computer savvy with the ability to create & format event descriptions & list on social media sites
  • Must be an eager & fast-learner to keep up with pace of client
  • Must have strong written & verbal skills
  • Must be able to work at the client’s site at least 10 – 15 hours per week Monday – Friday during business hours
  • Big PLUS if bilingual
  • Big PLUS if have event experience
This is an paid internship with LOTS of experience. You will learn a lot, work hard, but have a lot of fun and experience to relate into future projects. Position may become full-time, but not guaranteed.
