JOB PURPOSE:

The Reuinfication Case Manager will provide remote case management and supportive services to unaccompanied immigrant children currently in federal care in child shelters. The Reunification Case Manager works in collaboration with program staff and supervisors to cultivate a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to service provisions. The Reunification Case Manager will work primarily to help unify unaccompanied children who are residing at Endeavors Children?s Center in Pecos, Texas.


Individuals working in this position will receive health and welfare benefits at no cost to them that includes major medical, vision, dental, EAP and life insurance. Additionally, individuals that waive these benefits after providing proof of other coverage, will have the funds placed in the Endeavors 401k on their behalf. Employees will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours they work up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year and 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service and if they do not complete a year of service, they will be paid out an amount equal to their time of service. Finally, candidates will be provided a minimum of ten paid holidays per year.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with unaccompanied immigrant children to identify potential sponsors in the United States.
  • Vet potential sponsors according to federal guidelines and standards.
  • Track their case load using required case management systems.
  • Comply with policies and procedures governing the program and ensure that the program is operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Meet or exceed program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basis.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree is social services, psycology, social work, etc.

Minimum of 1 years of experience relevant to the position and working with children, and/or other vulnerable populaitons. Work with refugee or migrant populations strongly preferred; 3 years of experience highly desirable.

LANGUAGES: Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).

WORK LOCATION: Must have access to a home office to provide confidential and private work. Job is permantely remote. All equipment and resources will be provided to each Reunification Case Manager.

COMMUNICATION: Excellent interpersonal skills, including good communication skills, listening skills, and attitude. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.

COMPOSURE: Ability to remain calm and maintain self-control in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies. Ability to respond in a professional manner in all situations.

COMPUTER: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.

DECISION MAKING: Ability to think analytically and evaluate the impact of decisions. Requires high level of concentration, focus and use of memory. Ability to set work priorities and to evaluate and create solutions to work related problems.

ORGANIZATION: Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

PLANNING: Ability to think long term; up to one year in advance. Knowledge of project management processes and best practices.
