About the role: Area Residential Care is seeking a Residential Services Coordinator that is highly knowledgeable in best practices for adults with developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for the overall programming offered in our residential and supported community living settings, with duties that include:

• Operating the agency’s residential programs;

• Reviewing residential activity plans for quality;

• Providing feedback and recommendations for best practices; and

• Aligning residential programs with accreditation and regulatory service definitions.
  

The position reports to the Associate Executive Director and is reported to by nine residential supervisors.

About you: Qualified candidates will have:

• A BS/BA degree in an education or human services-related field;

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience that includes at least two in supervision;

• Professional communication and technical skills;

• A knowledge of I/DD licensing and accreditation in the state of Iowa; and

• Strong leadership abilities.
  

The salary for this position is commensurate with education and experience.

Salary: $45,717.48 - $54,259.95

Hours of Work: This position is generally 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with on-call responsibilities as needed.
