Overview:
MSA has an opportunity for a Real Estate Assistant at our Rhinelander, WI office. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the acquisition process of real estate purchases related to transportation projects.

Responsibilities:
The work you will do
  • Perform administrative activities associated with the negotiation and acquisition process of real estate purchases related to transportation and municipal projects.
  • In some cases, perform administrative activities associated with WisDOT on Surplus Lands property management and sales.
  • Set up and maintain files that document all relevant project activity.
  • Research resource material in preparation for negotiations including current title to property.
  • Complete Sales Studies, Market Studies and other land and improvement valuation research.
  • Verify legal descriptions and other legal documents.
  • Interpret and explain right of way plats and construction plans for use in preparing Real Estate documents and Sales Studies
  • Draft instruments necessary for the transfer of clear title to property and develop mailing packets.
  • Develop and file documents required for property acquisitions.
  • Complete various administrative functions relating to WisDOT Real Estate and Design projects
  • Perform all other related work as assigned or as apparent.

  • 3 or more years of real estate negotiation and acquisition experience required
