Vaisala’s industry-leading weather observation technologies, instruments, and solutions lay the foundation for the Weather and Environment business area’s strategy, enabling our customers to improve their ability to measure and forecast weather and weather phenomena. The business area serves selected weather-dependent customers to whom accurate, real-time, uninterrupted, and reliable weather data is essential to run efficient operations.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in a project to develop the prototype of a single point lightning sensor
- Provide engineering support for Boulder produced products, systems, and software
- Assist Vaisala engineers and engineering manager to achieve BOU Engineering team goals
- Graduate student, in good standing, working towards a Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in digital circuit design and embedded firmware
- At least a 3.0/4.0 GPA
- Ability and dedication to work 16 - 40 hours per week
- Be willing to learn and use Vaisala engineering methods, tools, and processes

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $25-30 per hour. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). This is a 12-week, temporary position and is not eligible for employment benefits.
