Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
• Under strict supervision, develops skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of products to specifications.
• Position is guided by Operations Department and program objectives.
• Perform inspections - Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
• Test parts and raw material - Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
• Monitor and verify quality - Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met.
• Recommend improvements
• Conform to specifications - Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope.
• Record observations - Notifies quality management of significant problems; Assists in documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
• Audit quality control programs
• Develop specs and procedures
• Improve quality practices

Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• Skills required for this job are a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of labeling requirements preferred
• 1 year of First Article Inspection experience preferred
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in quality control inspection field preferred
• Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to use tools and techniques to perform tests
• Proactively and clearly communicate important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need
• Ability to read technical data and specifications
