Do you love fitness or swimming? Sand Point Country Club seeks an outgoing, positive, self-starters to join our Fitness and Aquatics Team!

We are looking for a Full-time Pool and Fitness Coordinator to work 40 hours per week who is available Monday through Friday for AM or PM shifts and weekends, as necessary.

Pay and Requirements:

  • Pay is $20 per hour.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR Pro/AED required.
  • CPO or AFO certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer services experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a pool and/or fitness center operation.

Lots of parking available on Club property! Meals available for shifts over 5 hours.

Job Summary:

The Pool and Fitness Coordinator responsible for service to members and guests in the Fitness Center, Lower-Level pool area, and the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of Sand Point Country Club’s (SPCC’s) aquatic facility. They help the Director of Aquatics keep all work areas clean, orderly, and safe. They greet members and guests in a friendly and courteous manner while checking them in, cleaning and organizing all areas in and around the Fitness Center and pool area and ensure the safety of the members. The Pool and Fitness Coordinator communicates in a clear and professional manner information that assists the members and guests.

This person supports the Director of Aquatics in leading the Fitness Team and is responsible for ensuring that member expectations are always met or exceeded. Working with the tools available to create a clean, safe, and comfortable space for members is a priority. This person is present at the Fitness Desk on a regular basis and is consistently looking to improve the member experience and works with the Director of Aquatics to make improvements.

Directly Reports To:

  • Director of Aquatics

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of customer services experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a pool and/or fitness center operation.
  • Available to work mornings, afternoon, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts as needed.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet and log all members and guests.
  • Consistently clean and stock the restrooms.
  • Communicate with Director of Aquatics for maintenance and supply needs.
  • Works with other team members to maintain the filtrations system and other aquatic operating systems including chemical balance.
  • Performs regular safety inspections of pools and equipment to reduce hazards and to provide maximum safety to members and their guests.
  • Communicates with members face to face, electronically, and verbally in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain Fitness Center and pool area.
  • Create and maintain the Fitness Attendant schedule in the Club’s scheduling software.
  • Train all Fitness Attendants and/or Lifeguards to ensure all policies and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Ensure that all safety precautions are followed and communicates with the Fitness Attendants and members daily to motivate and hold them accountable.
  • Update and maintain all documentation related to the Fitness Center.
  • Meets with the Director of Aquatics weekly.
  • The Pool and Fitness Coordinator works a regular shift and covers any necessary shifts.

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR Pro/AED required.
  • CPO or AFO certification preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions and physical actions.
  • This position requires use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to communicate verbally, orally, and electronically.
  • Able to work in a moderate noise level work environment.
