Overview
The Agency of Transportation is seeking to hire an Organizational Development Coordinator to support technical learning and development. This position will increase employee competencies and development through access to technical training. Incumbent will utilize technical background to collaborate with Agency subject matter experts in the development of curriculum and where appropriate deliver technical training - in both in-person and virtual environments. This position will be responsible for creating technical e-learning content to assist employees in learning new skills and qualifying for promotional opportunities. Work is performed with a team that values diversity and inclusion, a focus on safety, with a priority on employee engagement and development.

The VTrans Training Center (VTTC) team is responsible for creating an organizational learning strategy that ensures we can meet the needs of our customers today as well as in the future. By offering learning sessions, aligning existing programs, doing needs and data analysis, incumbent ensures quality programming at the VTTC, acquisition of best practices, and keeps VTTC up to date with new learning trends. This aligns with VTrans strategic plan to promote organizational excellence by attracting, developing, and retaining a talented, diverse, and engaged workforce.

This position is anticipated to have access to a hybrid telework model where some portion of work is done in a telework setting, while other activities require in-person work at the VTTC located in Berlin, Vermont.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed primarily within a standard office setting, but with considerable travel to outlying offices and training sites, for which private means of transportation must be available. Some work outside normal office hours may be required. Pressure from deadlines should be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in one or more of the following: adult learning, education, organizational development, leadership development, and/or public administration; AND one (1) year or more experience that includes any combination of the following: training or staff development, teaching or facilitating programs for adults, providing consulting services to an organization, or conducting needs assessments to identify training needs and gaps.

OR

Bachelor's degree in one or more of the following: adult learning, education, organizational development, leadership development, and/or public administration; AND two (2) years or more experience that includes any combination of the following: training or staff development, teaching or facilitating programs for adults, providing consulting services to an organization, or conducting needs assessments to identify training needs and gaps.
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in the transportation industry including project management, highway maintenance, highway safety and design, or other technical related field preferred but not required.
