For over 35 years, McFarland Eye Care has provided a total eye care experience for families and residents of Jefferson County and the surrounding communities. Combining cutting-edge technologies and a caring team of professionals, McFarland Eye Care specializes in full-scope optometry, surgical eye care and has two dedicated out-patient surgery centers. The doctors are known for their award-winning medical services, including traditional and laser cataract surgery, clear corneal incision cataract surgery, oculofacial plastic surgery, refractive surgery, and additional ophthalmic conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular surface disorders.

McFarland Eye Care uses the industry’s most advanced technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases and cloud-based electronic health records to monitor eye health changes. Fully staffed with a cohesive team of well-rounded employees, the practice flow runs smoothly, enabling the physicians to care for 25 to 35 patients daily.

About the opening

McFarland Eye Care is seeking one full-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses 40 hours per week. In this role, you will practice full-scope optometry, treat and manage ocular diseases, and provide pre-and-post operative care. With fully equipped exam lanes and dedicated support from the technicians, you will have the opportunity to work with a large and diverse patient base.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate is willing to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations to improve patient care and services.

The minimum qualifications include:

• Optometry license in the state of Arkansas
