Overview
cyDaptiv Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator with experience supporting Federal and DoD cyber security and information assurance projects. Specific experience with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a plus. The Network Administrator must have a thorough knowledge network security principles, LAN/ WAN connectivity, TCP/IP protocol, VLANs, firewalls, and diagnosis and configuration skills to support the network infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have experience installing, configuring, testing, and managing the overall network infrastructure in a Government environment. The candidate must also have experience working with various stakeholders at all levels and be able to manage and coordinate technical hardware refresh activities in a collaborative manner.
Network Administrator Responsibilities
Support the overall network infrastructure at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF)s and respond to, detect, report, record, diagnose and resolve the occurrence of network faults
Support diagnostics and configuration connectivity of MHS site/service specific servers, such as DBSS, CHCS, AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, DMLSS, operating systems, office automation, and other systems as specified with subsequent task orders
Assist with DHA Infrastructure deployments and technical hardware refresh initiatives
Implement and coordinate network policies, procedures, and standards to help enforce network security
Maintain documentation necessary for operations in support of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity
Update or develop Network Architecture diagrams using Microsoft Visio
Support the integration of network hardware and software platforms for LAN/ WAN connected systems and medical AISs at MTFs, clinics, etc. as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)
Install, relocate, configure, and test routers, hubs, switches, wireless access points and associated controllers, and terminal servers
Install, test, terminate and maintain cables (Such installation will provide no warranty of installed cable or drops. All material and equipment required will be provided by the Government)
Troubleshoot wiring problems, serial communication lines, and inspect wiring drops
Operate and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS)
Operate and maintain Network Operating Systems (NOS)
Maintain and manage Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)
Operate and maintain security firewalls/Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices
Address user concerns with the LAN/WAN service provider and alert users to routine maintenance impacting circuits
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or engineering discipline preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience
Minimum one year experience as a Network Administrator
Experience in Heath IT environments is a plus (but not required)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate ability to learn new system security techniques
Professional Certifications
Security+ (or a more advanced security certification, such as CISSP)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
Security Clearance
Active Secret or Top Secret (ADP / IT Level I)

Pay: $84,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
